Busy – Busy - Busy

We’ve been busy at our house.  Busy with the mundane - busy with the out-of-the-ordinary and busy with the necessary.  What have we been up to?  I’d like to tell you, if I may.
Bandaids
Yesterday morning I made another trip to see the orthopedic specialist.  This trip was a bit different than the last two visits and, to be honest, I was quite nervous about it.  This time I had a ‘lubricating injection’ into my knee joint – in hopes that the lubricant would help alleviate my knee issues.  There were those who shared their ‘horror’ stories of such procedures and some who told me their pain was much worse afterwards.  And, then, there were those dear, kind people who shared how wonderful their experience had been and what great results they had.  The doctor used an ultrasound machine to assure that the injection went exactly where it should go.  I hardly felt the numbing shot and I didn’t feel the lubricating injection at all.  Afterwards, I got a band-aid!  A trophy!  A reward for being brave.  My dear, little mother later told me that she prayed that I would be brave!  I’ve had very little discomfort since the numbing medication wore off.  In fact, I decided to take advantage of the ‘numb time’ to visit a nearby fabric and craft store and to stop by a local vintage shop not far from my home.  No purchase at the fabric and craft store – just lots of ideas.  Oh, but a small purchase for my vintage trailer at the vintage shop.  I’ll show it to you soon.  I won’t know if this injection will produce the desired results for about two weeks.  Then, if all goes as hoped, I will begin to feel a bit of relief that will continue to increase until it reaches full effectiveness about a month from today.  If this works well I will return again for another injection every six months.  If that’s the case, I won’t have to be brave because I’ll know what to expect!Measuring Work is moving full-steam ahead on my little vintage trailer.  Daffodil is scheduled to go to two campouts this fall!  She won’t be completely finished, but she will be ready to hit the road and provide me a place to lay my head at night when I meet up with some camping girlfriends.  My sweetheart is working hard to get her ready.  I’ve posted an update on her blog to catch up a bit so I can begin to show you what we are doing as it happens.  There’s a lot of hard work ahead, but we have reached the ‘exciting’ stage now.  I can’t wait to tell you all about it.  If you click on the ‘Daffodil – My Vintage Trailer - tab at the top of this page you can read all about it.  I’d love to have you stop by to see where she’s been all winter.  It's been a good thing!

  3. Yes you are busy. Oh my friend I am praying for your knee and that you will be pain free. My mom has to have shots in one knee about every 2 months and she said she has no clue if the shot is painful cause her knee is in so much pain! You are going to have TOP of the LINE in a Vintage trailer before it's over! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
