Sweet Boys

Last weekend we drove to Salem to attend the basketball game of our oldest grandson, Mr. R.We really enjoyed watching him and his team. It was fun to be there with his parents and his other grandparents from out-of-state. And his two brothers, Mr. G. and Mr. H.
Both teams listened to the referee's instructions and worked hard to follow the rules and show good sportsmanship.
But we especially loved watching our "star", Mr. R. work hard to play a good game.
You can be sure he was pretty proud to have both sets of grandparents on the sidelines cheering him on.
After the game we all enjoyed supper and a good visit together at our son and daughter-in-law's home. Family times are always so special. Add grandkids and it's even sweeter!

  1. Nice to see your grandchildren! Something else we have in common - I also have three grandsons!

  2. it is so much fun participating in things with our grandchildren isn't it!!!
and it makes them so proud to have their grand parents at their events...
I so glad you got to attend with them...

  3. How nice for you with those handsome grandkids! Sounds like you had a great time and I am happy share.
Thanks for the kind words about my thoughts on turning 40! I try to see the bright side of things even when it is hard to find!

Waiting for spring, but it will be a few months yet. Getting a bit tired of the cold, but thats ok, I have been doing a lot of embroidery like it was just invented. Can't seem to stop. Never to cold to go to the THRIFT STORE!!. I sure have got a lot of nice things there this year.
Made a few dozzen oatmeal cookies this morning. Now think I will go read that book that I showed on my site. Isn't that interesting that you knew about that book?
    Take care.

  8. What beautiful grandchildren you have! I'm glad you got to be there for his game. Two of my grands are in the Upward program and I think it's great. They teach REAL sportsmanship, unlike most school sports. I tend to get on my soap box about that!! :O)

  14. oH, I soooo know where you're coming from! Grandkids are the spice of life and that's a fact!
3 of our granddaughters are playing basketball this year. It is so much fun to watch them all and spend time with the family. We have a game to go to this evening and we are looking forward to it. Went to one last Sat. morning which was fun...THEY WON! The only problem is that sometimes, like last Sat., all 3 played at the same time and, of course, in different places. We manage tho....
    hugs, bj
