The Potter's Hand

But now, O LORD, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You our potter; and we are the work of Your hand. Isaiah 64:8
Beautiful Lord, Wonderful Saviour
I know for sure, all of my days are held in your hands,
Crafted into your perfect plan.
You gently call me into your presence,
Guiding me by Your Holy Spirit.
Teach me, dear Lord,
To live all of my life through Your eyes.
I'm captured by Your holy calling -
Set me apart,
I know You're drawing me to Yourself;
Lead me, Lord, I pray.

Take me, mold me, use me, fill me -
I give my life to the Potter's hand.
Call me, guide me, lead me, walk beside me -
I give my life to the Potter's hand.

You gently call me into your presence
Guiding me by your Holy Spirit.
Teach me, dear Lord,
To live all of my life through your eyes.
I'm captured by Your Holy calling -
Set me apart,
I know You're drawing me to Yourself -
Lead me, Lord, I pray.

Take me, mold me, use me, fill me -
I give my life to the Potter's hand.
Call me, guide me, lead me, walk beside me -
I give my life to the Potter's hand.

  2. Adrienne, I have worked with clay on the wheel and I can tell you sometimes it just isn't ready to be worked, sometimes it fights what you want to do with it, and sometimes no matter how much you work with it, it just needs to be started over. This verse is so true, He is the potter and we are the clay, and sometimes we really do act like clay! God is a much more skilled potter than I am though, and what He works is never wasted or ruined:>)
