My Word For The New Year

My word for Two Thousand Thirteen is 'Delight'!

Delight - a noun that means 'a high degree of pleasure, or satisfaction of mind; joy; that which gives great pleasure; that which affords delight'.

Delight - a verb that means 'to affect with great pleasure; to please highly; to give or afford high satisfaction or joy; as, a beautiful landscape delights the eye; harmony delights the ear; the good conduct of children delights their parents'.

My focus this year will be to:

Delight in the Lord - at all times -
Delight in Who He is
Delight in His Word
Delight in His will

Remember that God Delights in me!

Find Delight in things around me

Be Delighted - even in small things
that may seem insignificant

Be Delightful - not hard to please
Delightful to be around

Be a Delighter -
one who gives Delight (great pleasure) to others
someone who makes a difference

'Delight is a more premanent pleasure than joy; it's not dependent on sudden excitement.' - unknown

Have a Delightful year!  A year filled with Delight!

  7. Where did you get the fabulous photos for your header? Amazing!
Next week we'll be gone to International House of Prayer in Kansas City for 5 days, but after that I feel we MUST get together! :)

  9. A perfect and beautiful word!

Adrienne~ I so need to apologize to you. Back in November you sent me a wonderful email and were going to be in Astoria. I've had big computer problems and was out of town for work for what seemed like months, so I was not able to get back to you. I feel really bad and wanted to let you know that I was not ignoring you and really disappointed that we couldn't connect this time. I am starting the new year FRESH and hoping to have more time and a better behaving computer very soon! Someday I will have the DELIGHT of looking on your shining face!
    Hugs~

  10. Wonderful word for the year. My word for the year is "abundance". Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. I am asking The Lord for abundance in every area of my life.
