Christmas Decorating Lament

I’m singing the blues – in a strange kind of way. I have photos to share with you and I can’t let you see them! Most of my home has been decorated for the holidays and the photos are on the camera but (sigh) I can’t find the camera cable to connect to the computer. I can’t download what I want to share. Oh, I’m so sad! You see, about a month ago we had new carpet installed and in the process it was necessary to completely empty most of the living area of our home. In the end, much of the furniture and pretties from many of the rooms were stacked, stuffed, piled and shoved into a few rooms of our home. Sometime during that time I remember winding the camera cable and putting it somewhere where I could find it in the mess of things. I remember thinking, ‘That was a good place to put it – you won’t forget this – you will always remember to look here!’ Well, dear friends, my forgetter seems to have been working overtime and I must admit that I have looked in all of the obvious places (and a few not-so-obvious) and it’s nowhere to be found. This morning I began to pray that I would find it. So, until I find that silly cable I’ll share a photo or two from Christmas past at our home. And when I find it – even if it’s July Fourth – you will be the first to see the coziness of our home this holiday season!

Oh, Miss Savannah, you silly girl – you sneaked right into the Christmas decorations. Well, I guess you think you are part of them.

  1. I have done this very thing so many times. In fact I have misplaced a big bag of hats and mittens and it's getting pretty cold around here!

  3. Adrienne, I am such a kindred spirit when it comes to placing things and then forgetting where. I pray you have an aha moment soon ;-) Miss Savannah is such a beautiful kitty! I loved seeing all your grands in your Thanksgiving post. It looks like they had a wonderful time all together. What a blessing. They are all just beautiful.

It is so very, very nice to hear from you again and to be able to visit your lovely blog!
I have had the very same thing happen to me, I'm sorry to say, too many times. I understand how frustrating that can be. I'll be praying that you'll find it soon too. Just a thought-I switched to using a camera card and it's much easier-are you able to do that?
I enjoyed seeing your pictures from the past-beautiful as always, and I especially loved Miss Savannah!
Have a great day and I'll remember to pray!

  12. Hi Adrienne - I enjoyed meeting you as well. That's so funny about your cable. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who misplaces things.

I hope you and your family have a blessed and happy Christmas and New Year.

  14. Oh, Dear One! I'm so sorry you can't find your cord. If you don't run across it you could probably to go Radio Shack or some place like that and find another one! Good to see the snaps and that sweet little fuzzy face.
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)
