Finds and Treasures (4)

Early this morning as I sat in my living room I looked into the dining room and enjoyed how the early morning sunlight reflected on a new addition to my yellow glass collection.I realized that you have not seen this new piece. It's been awhile since I've shared Friday Finds and Treasures with you. Recently my dear little mother and I were in the Goodwill in a nearby town when she spied this yellow compote. I put it in my shopping basket as soon as I saw it!The bright morning sun made it hard to get great photos but I hoped to capture how lovely it was in the sunlight and shadows.Isn't it wonderful?I haven't decided what to put in this new treasure. I don't want to take away from the beauty it brings but you may see it again, in another part of my home. Serving another purpose. Until then I'll just enjoy the way it adds a touch of color to the room. In the sunlight. Sunshine on a sun-colored addition to my yellow glass collection.

  5. Ohhh, it's gorgeous!! I want one!! You are right, it is lovely without anything in it. All I can see in it is maybe some of those flat glass "marbles."

It is nice to meet new bloggers, and it is good to have Jesus in common.
We are on our way to him. There we shall meet him, and see him as he are.
We shall also meet our beloved from our time time here.....

I will come here for more visits later. Thank you for your nice blog.

  8. I *really* love yellow, and your yellow glass collection is lovely. Goodwill is one of those *amazing* places where treasures hide. :o)

I have a pinky peach depression glass cake plate. Hm. I should bring that out and display it.

  11. What a rare find! Once again, I think if you and katherine and I had been in the same store together, there may have been a small scuffle in the glasswares aisle. ;) I'm looking forward to the day when I can steal off by myself for a couple of hours and explore some of the thrift stores and antique shops in the area. I think I'm suffering from thrifting withdrawl! It's been over a month since I've been to a thrift store or a yard sale.

  12. That is a BEAUTIFUL glass!!! Amazing how these treasures stand out to us today! They are bits of the past that in years past they didn't think too much about. I am a vintage hunter and This past week I found a few awesome finds myself. Feel free to jump on over to my sight and check out the teal and white suitcase! God Bless you!
