Home Again

Our long weekend away is over. It is just a memory now. A wonderful memory of time together with family and time spent in a beautiful place. We arrived home later than planned last evening. We had a hard time leaving to return to the real world. We took the long way home. As we travelled we enjoyed every minute of the beauty of God's creation. This photo was taken very early the first morning we awoke at the lake. I wish I could have captured the sounds of early morning around the lake. Geese calling, ducks communicating, loons and osprey announcing the morning. And stillness. The sound of silence! Oh, so quiet and peaceful. The perfect way to end busy summer days. I have so much more to share from our weekend away. And photos. Oh, do I have photos of this beautiful place we called home for just a few days this weekend. I will share more soon. We are on vacation for the rest of this week and we have plans. Work plans. A new fence to build. Things to do in the yard and in the house. Rest and relaxation is over. Time to get busy!

  1. Welcome home! I grew up on a lake in Michigan and there is nothing like a morning on the lake....beautiful photo!

  2. It looks lovely . Is it one of the lakes up in the cascades.

  3. Adrienne, your photos are so peaceful and show God's handiwork so beautifully. Thank you fro hsring your beautiful places with us all. Have a wonderful rest of the week!

  4. I'm so glad you had this special time - and in such beautiful surroundings.

    Welcome home.

  5. Welcome back, we missed you! Don't work too hard the rest of the week.

I'm looking forward to seeing your photos!

    Thank you for your prayers!

  6. Adrienne, your photos were BEAUTIFUL! I loved seeing them. I'd love to visit Oregon some day. Our state has Ospreys in common with you. There is even a nest on top of a telephone pole in town that is active every year. It's by Dairy Queen, so maybe they like ice cream :)

I am grateful that you stopped by to visit me. Your kind and gracious comments are appreciated and treasured.
