Seen On A Beautiful Fall Day

Over the past few weeks we have been blessed with beautiful fall days. Soon the weather will change, the winter rains will begin and these crisp, sunny days will just be a memory. A few days ago we stopped at a viewpoint not far from our home so we could take in the beauty that is often missed by travelers who rush by on the freeway. A few minutes to slow down and absorb the colors of autumn and the beauty of the world around us is good for the body and for the soul. The viewpoint overlooks Willamette Falls in Oregon City and Mount Hood in the background. The Falls have historical significance to our area. Mount Hood has served as a landmark for centuries. A nearby sign describes the importance of the Falls.
Just south of the Falls the little community of Canemah (now part of Oregon City) is nestled into the hillside that is dressed in gorgeous Fall colors. The tapestry of nature. A site to behold, indeed!

I love Fall! And I love Fall in Oregon! I love the beauty and the variety God created in the world around us. But best of all I love home!
